In cases like the above (marked by purple arrows), there is absolutely no doubt that Pothier intended a mora vocis, since all editions show the "space" equal to or greater than the width of a note head. The Schwann and Solesmes editions choose to ignore this mora, but this does not change the fact that Pothier intended it.
